For a water-based pomade, this product holds really well. I use Don Juan clay pomade as my pre-styler and the fifth sample pomade works really well with it, providing me with great hold.
The hold does falter a bit after a few hours (but not very much). Nonetheless, it can be restyled by shift hair back to the desired place. If not, leaving it gives the hair a more textured look with a little more definition.
